Welcome

May we invite you to join us as a member of the Belgian Association of Financial Analysts. We have reenergised our Association as was announced during the 50th Award for Best Financial Information on October 14th 2010. Therefore we have updated our website to bring it in line with the current dynamic financial markets. Our website will provide you better information with financial data trough VWD Group, with a dynamic agenda about our activities and with far more information about the ABAF-BVFA training programs.

For the last 12 months we have worked hard to make this association more dynamic, more innovative, more value adding for the finance professional. We have automated the Award for Best Financial Information, we have internationalised it as well. We focus more on non financial information for financial analysts, on sustainability, on integrated reporting without decreasing the financial analyst knowledge. We work more closely together with the Dutch and French Analyst Associations on financial communication, joint company visits.

Our Association is represented in EFFAS (www.effas.net) , in EFRAG (www.efrag.org), at the Belgian Accounting Commission, in ECMI (www.eurocapitalmarkets.org) , in ESMA (www.esma.europa.eu) . We work closely together with FSMA and NBB on financial regulation and the adequateness of our training programs. We follow every movement in the financial scene and will take care of proper information to our members.

On training, our association closely collaborates with Vlerick Business School (www.vlerick.com) on financial analysis and with Febelfin Academy (www.febelfin-academy.be) on Risk Management trainings. We wish to organise more events for our members and will keep you posted through our renewed website.

For those working in the financial markets at large our association can bring you a lot of value added.
